TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 By entering Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo you are agreeing to the following:

Tickets are valid for entry to Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo throughout the day of purchase only. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and accordingly may not be sold or passed to any third party. Proof of purchase for entry tickets may be requested at any time during your visit, you may be removed from the premises if proof of purchase cannot be determined. 

During your visit please ensure you read signage and adhere to all health and safety policies and instructions from staff.

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times and are not permitted entry unless accompanied.

Do not attempt to touch any free roaming animals.

Do not attempt to feed any animals.

Food, Confectionery and Drink is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Do not bang on glass. 

Do not leave the path. 

Do not climb. 

Do not enter ponds or waterways. 

Do not pick plants, flowers, leaves or fruit found within the premises.

If you are found to be risking the health, safety or welfare of yourself, others, staff or animals you will be removed from the premises and will not be entitled to a refund. 

Encounters times are subject to change or cancellation due to keeper availability, animal welfare or business needs. We recommend tickets be purchased and persons to be on the premises prior to the stated start times for encounters. Arriving on or after stated times of encounters will not ensure entry to any one encounter.

During busy periods admissions may be temporarily suspended on the grounds of health and safety.

We reserves the right to refuse admission or remove from the premises without a refund for any reason we may deem appropriate. 

For the safety of other visitors and our animals, we reserve the right to refuse admission to any visitors under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or showing behaviour that we deem aggressive, inappropriate or unacceptable. 

Alcohol is not permitted to be brought onto site, and anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be removed and where necessary, the emergency services called. 

We will not tolerate the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards our staff or other visitors on site. 

Smoking and "Vaping" are prohibited.

Tickets are non-refundable and any refund will only ever be considered under circumstance that we may deem valid. This will be ultimately be at our discretion. 

For example:

Not being able to partake in encounters or encounters being suspended /cancelled is not considered a valid reason for refund. 

Not being able to see specific or any animals is not considered a valid reason for refund. 

You acknowledge that you will be liable to us for any damage caused by you to the site or to any of its contents or for any injury caused to any of our staff or representatives or to other visitors during your visit.

You also agree that:

Where you are the Responsible Adult, you shall also be liable for all children that you accompany

Where you are the Organiser of a Group, you shall be jointly liable for any damage caused by the visitors in your Group.

We are not to be held liable for any injury, damage or loss to you, your group or possessions if you or members of your group are found to be in breach of any of the terms and conditions listed here or direct instructions given by staff.

We are not to be held liable for any damage or loss to your or groups possessions left unattended anywhere on site, included within allocated "cloakroom" area.

If you are a member of the press or have a filming request please contact hornsea@bugtopia.co.uk prior to scheduling your visit. Members of the press will not be admitted without a prior appointment. 

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone undertaking commercial or promotional activities without prior approval

From time to time we and third parties to whom we have provided authority may take photographs and/or video recordings of the zoo premises, including the car parks and surrounding areas, which may feature visitors. By accepting these Terms, you agree that Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo or any authorised third party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that all copyright and any other intellectual property rights that subsist in or arise out of these materials shall be absolutely owned by us or such authorised third party (subject to our agreement) as the case may be.
